iPad 3G + Wifi --> No APN or Cellular Data setting

Question

iPad 3G + Wifi --> No APN or Cellular Data setting

I am in Taiwan and just got a iPad 3G 16GB (MC349LL) version from US yesterday. After activation, I found there is no "cellular setting" in Settings. The micro SIM card (with unlimited plan) works well in my iPhone 3GS...

I restored OS to 3.2.1 several times but the tab of "cellular setting" are always missing....Wi-Fi works pretty well..

Someone told me the 3G module of my iPad may have something wrong...
Does anyone know how to fix it???

Are you using an iPhone data/phone card in your iPad? If yes then that card will not work in your iPad. The iPad requires a data-only card.

I checked the carrier. They told me the micro SIM card can work with iPad,too...
I also put the bundled AT&T SIM to iPad...also fail..no APN neither Cellular
Data Tab show......

anyone can help me.....otherwise I must return it to Apple Store.....~~

That's not correct, any card with a data plan should work.

Just google for your "<carrier name> apn". You should be able to find the data you need to enter in the field.

Settings --> Cellular Data --> APN Settings

For instance, in Hong Kong, I'd search for "pccw apn" on Google.

But my problem is in my 3G iPad "Settings" -->
there is no "Cellular Data" option.
Then I have no chance to set APN.

Basically, the "Setting" option in my 3G iPad just looks a Wi-Fi only version..
There is no Cellular setting at all..

Weird iPad..

Other people have reported here that one can't take an iPhone SIM(cut down as necessary) and have it work in the iPad.

I just update to 3.2.2....still have NO APN or Cellular Data setting option in "Settings" -> "General"...

I also found my iPad has no "Airplane Mode" in settings..

Anyone can help me???

I have a new iPad 3G + wifi 64 gb and I did a restore on it to 3.2.2. I have lost my cellular settings options. HELP!!!!!!!! I have restored it now from 2 computers and a total of 5 times, still not showing the ATT signup and connect stuff in the Settings app.

I bought a 3G+WiFi 64Gb ipad from the US and am facing the same issue. Cannot see the Cellular Data Option for some reason and hence cannot use the 3G at all. I am on 3.2.2 as well and tried to restore to factory defaults a few times with no luck. Anyone got this resloved by any chance?

I'm in China and I got exactly the same problem with you. I use the 3G services if China Unicom and I've never found the Apn Setting options whichever version I update my IPad to. I consulted Apple China for some times, but it seems that nobody there can help. I just don't understand why Apple cannot fix it's own product at all? Can anybody help with my problem? Feel so upset that I cannot log online after paying so much to Apple and the 3G supplier.
