I just got a new phone from work but some apps just crash on start.
primarily this concerns apps that I have downloaded from AppStore.
I have tried the following:
why are there still issues? I have reached out to the developers, but they have no clue.

Closing, reopening the apps and restarting your iPhone were really good steps to try. In the article If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open has a couple more things you can try.
You mentioned this is a work iPhone. If you are still having trouble with the same apps, reach out to the technical person in charge of setting up the iPhones to be sure there aren’t any settings in place preventing the apps from working.

Yes I did try all of that, but nothing worked. I contacted the app developer who replied that they have issues with apps on IPhone 12 crashing randomly.
However, the solution was to reinstall the app, but that did not work the first time I tried it.
My own personal thought is that it has to do with the Bluetooth data transfer when setting up my new iPhone 12 mini. The app must have some kind of setting/bug/error that make it incompatible with the new improved hardware. Maybe the app still thought that it was opened by an IPhone 8, but wasn’t and decided to crash. My very amateurish guess:)
