iPhone 13 WhatsApp back arrow not lined up

When in a WhatsApp conversation and press on the back arrow to come out of the chat into the list, sometimes pressing on the arrow jumps up the the list of chats so I have to press just under the arrow for this to work. Also when in the camera option the cross fails to respond until pressing around 10-15 times. I’ve had the phone 2 days and wondered if anyone else had seen this. I’ve raised this with WhatsApp themselves too.
