My phone doesn't show up when trying to share wifi, even with my last phone (the x) I wouldn't show up on others' phones. Also with airdrop, my contact doesn't show up to people who have me, only my phone ID, don't know if it's connected.

iPhone doesn't have an option to share Wi-Fi. iPhone can allow Personal Hotspot connection but that feature must be turned on.
