Pegasus Spyware on ios

Does anyone know how to verify an iphone is free of, or contains this Pegasus Spyware? If it is in the phone - how do you remove it? Cheers.

Unless you are in the target cohort (Terrorists, drug dealers, opposition political leaders, activists, journalists in countries with repressive governments, etc) your phone does not have Pegasus installed. It is software that costs millions of dollars per user, and is only available to government agencies; if you think you are worth that much restore your phone to factory settings, and do not restore a backup. Of course, if you are in that cohort you shouldn’t be using any smartphone; you should be using “burner” phones that you destroy and replace weekly with new hardware and new phone numbers.

You should also update to iOS 12.5.5, 14.8 or 15, as those versions block Pegasus.

Note that the app iMazing claims to be able to identify a Pegasus infection; I don’t know how accurate it is.
