Why are some photos not showing up in the Photos album but show up in the recently imported album?
If they are in Recently Imported then they are in the Library as the Recently Imported is simply a short cut. To find them, right-click on them and select 'Show In All Photos'

to clarify - do you see photos in "Imports", but can not find them in "Library"?

Usually when this happens, the date and time on the camera or not correct and the images are buried somewhere in the middle of your images.
I see pictures in the recently imported album but not in the main Photos album where ALL photos appear?
