battery drain, phone is hot & app freezing/crashing since ios 15 update

I recently did the ios 15 & watchos 8 updates and now the batteries in both my iphone 11 pro & apple watch 5 drain to almost nothing in a matter of few hrs. My iphone also is getting very warm while its on the charger. Also the imessage app freezes and crashes almost every single time i open the app, i have for force restart my phone literally 10 times a day at the least now just to get the imessage app to open and work right!! HELP!!!!! This update is HORRIBLE!!! Get it together Apple and fix all of these issues that have been created since these updates!!!!! I don't know what else to do to correct any of the issues im having without completely resetting my phone!!! I have already unpaired and then repaired my watch to see if that would correct the battery drain on it and of course that didnt work!!! Beyond frustrated!!!

OK.....go to Settings > Battery and see what is using the most battery charge and make adjustments as necessary.

Also, if you did not Force Restart your iPhone after the iOS update, do that now. I Force Restart every device after EVERY iOS update.

Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the side button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.

If when you see the slider to power off and you are powering off you are NOT Force Restarting your iPhone.

Read this carefuly:

  • Tap and quickly release volume up button
  • Then tap and quickly release volume down button
  • Then press and KEEP HOLDING the side power button. Keep hold past the swipe to power off, keep holding after the screen goes black, and don't let go until the Apple Logo appears.

I have had to force restart and normal restart my phone at least 10 times a day since I did this update!! Once I do then the iMessage works for a little bit before it freezes and crashes again but it does nothing for the battery or temp of my phone while charging! The same goes for my watch too, I’ve forced restarted that and unpaired and repaired it and still the battery drains so fast!!!
