So how do I reinstall the music app as searched on the phone for it and it doesn't show it. not updated the phone since IOS 12, if I update the phone will music app be reinstalled. I generally only use calls text and music on it and rarely connect it to the web only to update it through the desktop app. I didn't update as was told it would brick the phone is updated to the newer IOS.
Being well over 50 yrs the tech side of the iPhone's is not my strong point. Was going to go into the shop but being made to look an idiot for deleting the Music app by mistake was not something I wanted to do. I can find my way round the iMac and MB Pro as well as the Mac Pro I can handle as it what I use for Recording Music/ Video on safer ground there.

Go to the home screen place your finger in the middle (not on an icon) and slide down. A search box will appear at the top of the screen. Type Music in that box. The Music app should appear. Tap on it.
If it doesn't you may need to restore your iPhone from your backup.
You are being helped by a 70 year old.
It does not show up , I got a new iPhone SE a few days ago and planned to transfer via bluetooth all the setting etc from the iPhone 6. I assume that will rectify my error of deleting the Music app. as the backup on iTunes were on an old MBP that died months ago. Stuck in UK till I can return home when things calm down. I am a few years younger than you ;-) English is not my first language or second so not sure if I make sense in it.
What is your first language? Applications do not transfer from on phone to another, they are installed from the Cloud to setting up your new iPhone would solve the issue if you are in the iTunes Store that you normally use.
Will the messages, contacts etc be transferred using the bluetooth quick start if I sign in using my Apple ID? As didn't want to loose them the messages that is as with the iPhone 5 to iPhone 6 they didn't transfer.
ขอพระพุทธคุณจงสถิตอยู่กับท่าน (May the Lord Buddha be with you.) Thank you are patient and helpful.
Stay safe stay well.

I am 68 next week ;-)
Do you have a Music app?
The only Music app I had on my iPhone was iTunes , the about section says there are 230 songs but can't access them as I deleted iTunes. I tried reset home screen but that did not work.
There was never an iTunes app that played music on the iPhone. Do a search for a Music app.
Really? I never had a third party player, so what was playing them on my iPhone if not iTunes media player?
The Music app is not a 3rd party player, it is from Apple. The iTunes app on the iPhone was always used for buying media from the Apple Store on the iPhone.
Dutch/ Thai mix, I speak English but not so good at writing it. I can sign in to iTunes from my friends iMac as thats what I am using now.
All your data will transfer.
