Same with mine! Im using my 11 pro max when it froze. contacted apple support and followed the instruction from hard restart to upgrade my ios to 15 via itunes and still frozen. the next morning i walked in to their service center and it seems that my unit needs a repair or replacement already. Is it really normal to have a unit subject for repair already where infact frozen screen is a rampant issue for the latest models? i found it very unfair. Can someone help me to recover my unit without paying too much for the repair? My warranty ended almost a month now. Pls help
Help with what? You have a repair pending.
Some percentage of a billion devices is always failing. Always. A erynsmall percentage of failures within a billion devices is still a pretty big number, too. Updates can push a marginal device into failure. Other cases, the device just fails. It stinks, but it happens. And when it happens, a repair usually resolves it.
And we only get the folks with issues posting around here. Not the rest of the folks where it all works
As for frozen device screens, over the last couple of years, I’ve worked with several devices that have suffered frozen screens (including an iPhone 11 Pro Max), and the forced-restart has cleared those cases.
Is Apple flawless? Nope. This having met cases of the AirPods Pro recall…
