software update stock on screen saying support.apple.com/iphone/repair

I'm updating my software to iOS 15 but stock on the restore screen, what steps should I follow to make it done?

Since when can we Update iOS in Recovery Mode WITHOUT erasing data? I had an iPhone 11Pro with a failed iOS 16.7 update where the digitizer would no longer function. No touch screen meant, no swiping up to open, no typing the passcode, no Trusting a Mac to backup. So I kind'a gave up on the data and put it into Recovery Mode - and was greeted with a message that said I had two familiar choices: "Update" or "Restore"... but then I read it carefully. It said I can Update the iPhone without losing personal data... Should I trust this feature?
