How to install php on macios big sur

I am an OLD IBM mainframe geek. I meed specific instructions on setting up my iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017) running Bit Sur (most current version) I am familiar with DOS and the command functions. I have found several different ways to setup for PHP, however they all seem to be missing key elements.

I am trying to develop PHP programs for my Lions Club website to take it to another higher level. I know sql and PHP programming can. take it to the next level.

Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

PHP 7.3.29 is included on macOS 11.6, but Apple makes it clear that PHP will not be included in future releases of macOS. In order to use it as a server-side solution, you would need to enable it in the Apache2 httpd.conf file. See the following article specifically for Big Sur, How to install and run Apache, PHP on macOS Big Sur.

Thank you so very much for this information. It definitely is very concise and clear. The best part is there is no confusion about anything else.

Again thank you so very . This will help me take the local Lions Club to another level. This is a free service I am providing my club (I am a member). So rest assured my intent is not to take advantage of the Lions Club.
