new do not disturb ios15

in the old do not disturb settings, I was able to make it so notifications wouldn't alert while my phone was asleep, but If I checked my phone, the notifs would be on my lock screen. I also had it so that while I was using my phone (like using an app) the notification would pop up as normal.

Focus won't allow me to create those old settings so I was wondering if there might be something i'm missing? I just want notifications to be silenced when my phone is asleep, but I want them to come through while i'm actively using it.

Hi lex2022,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

We are happy to help with the issue you are having with not seeing your notifications on your device when using Focus and silencing your notifications. "When you set up a Focus, you can select Allowed Notifications from people and apps. You can also enable Time Sensitive notifications from apps, which allows apps not in your allowed list to send notifications marked as Time Sensitive."

Get details and learn how to Use Focus on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch here.

Cheers!

Hi,

it was way better when the phone could be locked no noise no vibration and then you could turn it on and see the notification and it would only vibrate or make a noise when it was unlocked. Now when I turn dnd on completely goes ghost mode can’t keep track then when I turn it off bugs me that so many notifications. I even tried to play around with it but doesn’t seem to work. IOS 15 DND Is horrible
