MacBook Pro 2017, 13", Big Sur 11.6, Did Not Work With Apple External Monitor

I connect the monitor using the USB-C to Thunderbolt adapter. It only work for less than 30 seconds then the monitor goes black. The 'Displays' in System Preferences also shown that it is totally disconnected. I tried turn off the monitor, re-connect the adapter to my MacBook, same thing happens - the monitor connects for about 30 seconds and then poof.. it disappear!

If i connect other brands' monitor using HDMI (adapter) it works superbly! Its seems that a Mac DID NOT work with a Mac! What should i do???

Which Apple display is this? Thunderbolt Display?

I suppose that you are using the Apple Thunderbolt3 to Thunderbolt2 adapter,

and the cable that comes with the display, right?
