What is CMFSyncAgent [PLEASE HELP!]

Hi everyone,

I recently noticed a process called CMFsyncagent on my activity monitor. Everything that I have found online says that it is a iOS malware. Does anyone here know anything about it? Can I just reset my computer and reinstall the OS and have it go away?

Thanks.

MacBook Pro (2020 and later)

CMFSyncAgent "Communications Filter Synchronization Agent" is a macOS System File. It is not malware.

/System/Library/LaunchAgents/com.apple.cmfsyncagent.plist

/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/CommunicationsFilter.framework/CMFSyncAgent

The service is not always running but runs when the network state changes. It seems to have something to do with communications. It does have proprietary certificates used only by Apple for internal communications. It runs from the read only, snapshot, signed, sealed System volume and cannot be modified.

If running a M1 Apple Silicon , which I am so can not speak to Intel , the CMFsyncagent is a Normal Process in Big Sur

When I check is Activity Monitor and check what is connected to this process >> below are the open files
