Shiftscreen 4x iPad external monitor app - web apps safe?
So I have been looking at the shiftscreen app at £8 to extend the external iPad screen using the shift screens builtin web apps. You can’t run native iOS apps only web apps in designated by shiftscreen. This does include office365 and Google suite.
Having so many security updates on browsers such a safari and chrome and edge on a pc, I am wondering how safe is it to use the shiftscreen 4x web apps?
For example, we use the web for buying items from say amazon, website banking, office 365 for finance spreadsheets and yet if we want to use the Shiftscreen external monitor web apps for this, are they collecting the data? Is the web browser behind the iPad apple infrastructure or are we relying on Shiftscreen web app for its own security? How secure are they? How does it all work using these apps?
I know they have a privacy terms and conditions, its just do we trust them as much as safari on the iPad? If not then I can’t buy it.
Some info on this and how it works would be good. Even info from Apple maybe? SHiftscreen may say they don’t collect data but how secure is the browser from attacks? Should it be used only for light browsing?
It’s seems a great idea and I would love to try it on my external monitor with the correct cable. Just want them to be more transparent with their security and data. The only good bit is that Apple may have already looked into this, hence why its cleared on the App Store.
Any answers
Thanks All
