I need to replace the lithium battery on a Mac Pro G5 Model:A1186. The battery in the computer is LS1425OC 3.6V. , and I read that you should only use that one. I can find LS1425O 3.6V. Does it matter if it doesn't have the C ?

The powerMac G5 DOES take the little LS14250 non-recharging batteries, also loosely referred to as 1/2 AA size.
3.6 Volts is the important part, I expect the Apple originals have a wider temperature range and possibly a slightly longer life. Use whatever you can source easily.

PowerMac G5 computers feature a powerPC processor and ONE DVD door on the front of the silver tower.
A1186 covers Mac Pro silver tower from 2006 through 2008, three different models. all have two DVD doors on the front of the cabinet.

Thanks for replying. It's the one on the left. The model # I gave you A1186 is not right, that's the number of the G3 I have.
