new facetime becomes one-way radio

After updating to iOS15, the new FaceTime cannot handle 2-way simultaneous audio, it mutes one-side.

I have been using FaceTime to teach music lessons since the pandemic started, never had this problem until 15. It happens on iPad, iPhone 12 and on the new linked Android devices ( the video quality from Android is outstanding, by the way). This problem used to happen a lot during Zoom sessions, therefore I ditched Zoom for the reliable FaceTime. Right now my preferred solution is switching most sessions to Google Duo. Zoom has improved a great deal, too.

Similarly when converse during a FaceTime call, if my recipient had a electric fan running in the background, with a constant low humming noise, then my voice will be muted by software entirely, the recipient could only see my mouth moving, no sound at all.

Please bring back the old FaceTime!
