Sound quality, now iPad pro

Bought a new iPad Pro, (model A2378) and find its sound quality is inferior to my old Pro, bought 3+ years ago. (Model A2161) Sound is muddy in mid and lower tones. Removing it from Magic keyboard has no effect.

I’ve asked text if there’s a way to reduce base/increase treble, but apparently there isn’t. The old Pro offers excellent tonal separation for high and low.

Serious disappointment. Has anyone noticed a similar problem?

Audio “system” in an iPad Pro isn't exactly audiophile quality.

In the Settings app, under Music, you could try changing the EQ settings.
