iphone is disabled connect to itunes... its connected to computer and latest version is updated but will not give me the option to restore

iphone is disabled connect to itunes is displayed, connected to itunes and will not connect for me to restore. other devices connect but this one will not. what am i missing

You need to turn the iPhone off and then connect it to the computer using the instructions in: If you forgot your iPhone passcode - Apple Support
