iMessage won't accept my apple ID

Apple refuses to accept my Apple ID and Password for iMessages. It works fine for iTunes and iCloud but iMessages just keeps resetting to the blue Next. Eventually it will tell me I am wrong, which, if I was, it wouldn't work for anything else, but it does, even logging into this community.

Mac mini, macOS 10.14

Click here --> https://support.apple.com/choose-country-region Select your country, then a product. If you don't see one that handles your issue then keep experimenting with selections until you reach one that gets you a chat session or a telephone call and get the representative to redirect you.
