Apple Watch Gmail and Outlook Notifications

Hello,

I have Apple Watch Series 5, and iPhone 12 Pro Max. Both are updated with the most recent software update.

Ever since the last update, I keep getting notifications from Gmail and Outlook for every new email that I get. Gmail doesn’t even appear on my Watch app, and Outlook is only available under installed apps and not under “notifications”. I removed Outlook from my watch. I changed all mail notifications to custom->turn off notifications. None of this worked and I still get these notifications all the time.

I reset my watch, and recovered from backup and also reset and defined as a new watch and notifications is helping.

Before the update I didn’t get these notifications.

Please help, it’s driving me crazy!

I removed GMail from the phone. Shut down both my phone and my watch. Restarted my phone. Reinstalled GMail and then restarted my watch. That worked for me and I could then see GMail listed on the iwatch app so I could adjust the notification settings.

On the iphone under settings -> notifications -> enable "notification center" alerts for both outlook and gmail. restart phone, restart watch. No longer have annoying notifications on my apple watch with every email!

Hopefully works for you also.

Hi,

I am getting mail notifications but not through the Mail app but through the Gmail app and the Outlook app on my iPhone.

in the mail on the watch app - mirror notifications is set to custom - turn notifications off.

gmail is not available at all on my watch app, and outlook was removed from it by me, so I don’t know how to turn off something that is no longer available

I just started having this issue today. I have had the watch a year and have never gotten email notifications on it. I dont even have outlook installed as an app on my watch, and yet i get every email.

I’m having exactly the same issue. I never want GMail to my iWatch but since the updates I get them. GMail does not appear on the notification section of the iPhone app!! Extremely infuriating. Fix it apple. We pay a sh*t load of money for these devices.

I’m having the same issue and it’s SUPER annoying!!! Outlook doesn’t show under notifications, just “installed on Watch”. This is CLEARLY a glitch so I would LOVE zig its fixed ASAP before a throw my watch against the wall!!

I too have the same issue. I use my Outlook primarily for work and depend on phone notifications since I work night shifts. I have uninstalled Outlook on my watch and still get notifications. Now I don’t really hear my email notification on my phone anymore because they go to my watch. I just retired my watch for now and will not wear it again until this glitch gets fixed.
