local website on ipad?

can i make a local website on my ipad? this for my employees to have an interactive presentation at customers site and not depending on 3g connection.

this website is for exemple made with iweb and publiced local on several ipads

Hi,

Looking for the same thing more or less. The only way I know is that you build it in HTML5 and add a manifest file to it. A manifest file is something like app.manifest that is included in your html tag. In the manifest file you add all the items that need to be offline avaliable ex: images scripts etc...

When you put then the app to your desktop it will make all the data offline available. This doesn't work over VPN by the way.

Note: it is fine for a small app but not for big ones. The best way would be if you could create IPA files of your html5 apps. That is what i'm seeking for.

It seems to me that the OP is asking about running a static site locally on an iPad. If no server-side scripting is needed, a device doesn't have to be a web server in order to utilize locally stored web pages. The question would be, how to store the HTML, CSS and JavaScript files for a local site on an iPad.
