iOS 15 Closing Notifications

Does anyone know if Apple plans to restore the ability to allow users to long press and select an (x) to close individual notifications? In iOS 15 you have to undo the long press and swipe left to close. I’m not sure if this was intentional or has been identified as a bug, but it’s made closing notifications more time consuming than in prior iOS versions.

I agree. If I expand a notification to view the entire thing, there's no way to close it without exiting out of the expanded view first. This is annoying enough on its own, but it's horrible when you expand live notification banners -- once you expand it, you can't close it. You can only click off of it, thereby sending it to the notification center, requiring even more work to close it.
