Why I have multiple hard drives with the same name and data in my Mac?
I have several hard drives with the same name and DATA appended.
What's going on?

Ya, what going on...?
From the Terminal.app lets see the output, copy and paste
diskutil list internal
Two Volume read-only goes one step further in Big Sur adding a SSV (signed system volume)

Open Disk Utility. In upper left select View "show all." Select each data volume in turn and inspect for the Mount Point.
Duplicate Mac Data Volumes with the same apparent name.
You should keep the Data volume mounted at
/System/Volumes/Data
The second identically named Data volume mounted at
/Volumes/xxx - Data
where xxx is something else other than Volumes (xxx is by default Macintosh HD but sometimes people change that default)
is superfluous and can be removed by clicking the minus sign at the top left of the screen, after selecting it.
Completely back up your files and computer before doing anything. Verify the backups are sound before proceeding. If something does not match the above description, don't proceed without clarifying first.
After doing this, reboot, empty trash, and recheck storage. You should gain some space back, not sure exactly how much.
macOS Catalina and later have locked system volume + writable data volume.
