BigSur Update v11.6 stops

I keep trying to update the iMac (Retina 5K, 27", 2020, macOS BigSur) from v11.5.2 to v11.6. But after download starts the installation and then stops, without an error message.

install update Hi, I'm working on iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017), macOS Monterey 12.2.1 The system offers to install update - macOs Monterey 12.6. I download the update and start the installation process. And everything is fine, the systems starts the installation. However after installation and the reboot I still see that the update is not installed. And nothing changed. During the installation I haven't seen any errors or problems with installation.

Do you have at least 50 GB free space? Did you try it in safe mode? No VPN, 3rd party virus apps or cleaners etc?

Now it works, many thanks. This was first time that I had to use the safe mode.
