I received an email stating I was automatically upgraded to iCloud bc I have a 50 GB storage plan. Is this actually free or is it only free for a certain period of time?
There is no additional charge but you will continue to pay the same price each month as before. The change is that additional features were added and they are free. See: Upgrade to iCloud+ - Apple Support
