How can my child use their Itunes gift card loaded on their phone, to purchase game apps w/ family sharing?

We understand that you're looking for guidance on how your child can use their iTunes Gift Card for purchases with Family Sharing. Check out the following information for help with that.


If you have "Ask to Buy" enabled with purchases, this would route the purchases to the payment method that is set up with the Family Sharing plan as their account is a child account. This is to prevent apps and content from being purchased at random without your knowing. If the Apple ID wasn't a child's account, the gift card would be charged on purchases without needing approval from the designated approver within the Family Sharing plan.
