Wallet “Scan Code” doesn’t work

I'm trying to add a website QR code to my Wallet. I open the Wallet, click “Edit Passes,” and click “Scan Code,” the Camera opens, and I point it at the QR code. Camera recognizes the QR code and offers to open the website in Safari, but not to add it to my Wallet. If I do open it in Safari, there’s no way that I can see to add it to my Wallet. If I switch back from Camera to Wallet, with or without taking a picture of the QR code, Wallet goes back to square one without adding the “pass.”

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're running into issues adding a pass to Apple Wallet. I sounds as though you're using the suggestions provided in article, Add and use passes in Wallet on iPhone. Do we have that right? If that's the case and the card isn't added after the QR code is scanned, you might wan to reach out to the pass issuer for help to see if there's a way to add it manually to Wallet.
