Orange ring around iPhone 11 screen

My daughter's iPhone 11 has an orange colored ring around the perimeter of the screen. Is this image burn, when you take a screen shot it doesn't appear in the photo. It does appear when I took a picture of her phone and you can see it in the photo. Is this a software or hardware thing and is replacement of the screen or phone the only option?
