Depends on what kind of functionality you are looking for.
If you have an iPhone or Android Phone with Whatsapp installed, you can use the web version of WhatsApp to access your chats on the iPad.
You will need to tap on the aA icon in the url bar, and then select “Request Desktop Website”.
From their you can follow the steps to access your WhatsApp chats on the iPad.
With that said, the Whatsapp app itself does not work on iPad.
