Two-Factor Authentication

How do I turn off Two-Factor Authentication?

I lost my iPhone twice and I couldn’t track with Find My iPhone because Apple was sending verification code to same missing phone and number. I had to wait next day to replace the SIM card just to get the verification code but because of time and delay the phone was totally out off reach and tracking.

two factor authentication when phone is lost Two factor authentication can't be turned off, but it's worthless and frankly super-frustrating when you are dealing with a lost phone. Sending a verification code to a phone at the bottom of the ocean is not exactly useful. Solutions?

two-factor authentication is not really practical??? two-factor authentication is not GOOD for me at all. Let's say I misplace my Iphone, I log into Icloud to find it using FindMyIphone, it sends me a verification number code to my phone... how do I get that number when I do not have my phone?

You cannot turn off two-factor authentication.

That’s really bad. You can’t track missing phone, so Find My iPhone is useless then. 🤦🏾‍♂️

use Find my at iCloud.com/find. 2Fa not needed there when you log in.
