big sur 11.6 update excel issues

I updated my air and excel which i use a lot its slow its crashing its barely working, how can this be an update is there any solution?

MacBook Air (2020 or later)

In addition to the solid advice by VikingOSX, you may want to run Etrecheck and post its report here. Use the "additional text" button as the report is too long to post directly in the message.

The 11.6 update had nothing to do with performance or Excel misbehaving. Update Excel to 16.53.1 or later. Reboot the Mac, and try again. Try running only Excel, and not a litany of other applications and browser tabs, in case you are using a low-end RAM configuration.
