First Off, what is your Exact Model of your Mac?
- Go to: Apple menu
- Select: About this Mac
- View: Third Line-Down
See if it is mentioned here: macOS Catalina is Compatible with these Computers - Apple Support
If it is not mentioned in that link, then installing it is just not an option. :(
