Doesn't track my walk

I'm a really new Apple Watch 6 user & have a lot to learn, it's quite confusing. One question I have is: when I walk my dogs, I stop frequently because they want to sniff a lot & I also walk somewhat slowly because I'm 78.

So the watch doesn't track that walk into my 30 minutes of activity -- can I do anything about that?

With my fitbit, I could enter it manually. Thanks.

The watch will only calculate a workout walk when you are moving at 3.3 mph or faster.

If you wish for to get credit for you walk at your speed, use "Other Workout" this will count it towards your exercise goal.

It will not track the route though.

Thanks. I don't need it to track the route. I wish I could walk faster, like I used to but it's not happening right now. As winter comes, I'll go use the treadmill, maybe get a more consistent workout there.

But how do I put in "Other Workout" -- where do I do that? I'm such a newbie that I don't really understand how to do that.
