New Folder option in Finder became grayed out recently
IMac: New Folder option in Finder became grayed out recently. I have admin privileges but cannot create a new folder on Macintosh HD under my user name. Any advise, please.

You can create folders anywhere under your home folder. You can’t create folders at the top level of your system drive. That is mounted as read only in Big Sur.
