Hello 1945webbo1,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Based on your post, you're receiving error -42408.

For this issue, we'd recommend the following steps for these types of errors: If you see an error when you update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod

The most important thing you'd want to have is an updated version of iTunes or macOS: Update to the latest version of iTunes

(If you're using a Mac, select 'update your Mac to macOS Catalina or later' at the top of the above resource for steps to update macOS. Don't forget to backup anything important before updating!)

Wishing you well, take care.

Hey 1945webbo1,

Thanks for the quick reply. You may have issues attempting to reinstall the Apple TV app on your Mac. The app is built-in to the operating system in Catalina and Big Sur.

Why do you believe you're locked out of the iTunes app? Are you seeing any errors within iTunes about your Apple ID being locked or disabled? If so, see: If your Apple ID is locked or disabled

If this happens when you attempt to sync or play purchased content, make sure iTunes is authorized: Authorize or deauthorize your computer for iTunes Store purchases

Or in case you're having issues connecting to the iTunes Store: If you can't connect to the App Store, iTunes Store, or other Apple services

Hoping these help out, cheers.

sorry didn't work, both Mac and iPhone bang up to date , I seem to be locked out of my itunes

a/c, I think it may have something to do with Apple TV , on my Mac but not in use, the errors

seemed to happen on start up and were combined with appletv logo, I ignored these, but

lately the error codes are worse and am now locked out of my iTunes a/c, I'll try uninstalling

Apple TV and see what. cheers Tom.
