Music directly from my watch.
Like so many others are used to be able to listen to music directly from my Iwatch, Why can’t I now.
Apple, please give it back!

If you mean via the Apple Watch speakers, then "Teeny Tiny battery".
Look at the time estimates for different kinds of usage
https://www.apple.com/watch/battery/
You will notice that Talk time is just 1.5 hours. That would be using the cellular radio and the speaker (as well as microphone). So if you were streaming via the Apple Watch speaker, your battery would be dead in just a few hours.
As it is using Low Energy Bluetooth, you only get 8 hours of battery life.
So invent a better smaller battery, and you can have your wish (maybe).
