watch OS 8 update

I cannot download and install this update despite several attempts and receiving only ‘fail’ notifications (including after closing and restarting both my Series 4 watch and iPhone X and after un-pairing and re-pairing the watch and iPhone). What else can I try?

Watch OS 8.7 not updating As the title suggests, my S7 watch isn’t updating to OS 8.7. Phone (12) is updated, 50% plus battery etc etc - all the basics I’ve done but still no dice. See screen shot - it doesn’t shift from this for ages then just says it’s failed. Same when tried direct from the watch. Anyone else experiencing this?

Series 3 watch cannot load OS 7 update Has anybody else experienced the infinite loop/Groundhog day of trying to load an update to OS 7 on a Series 3 watch? It has rendered my watch completely useless! The steps are: Both IPhone and Watch on chargers. I tried to load the update, but it fails. One of the solutions was to unpair and re-pair it as a new watch. Now, the update fails, but I can’t get out of the update. As soon as it fails to load, it tells me there’s an update and if I try to cancel out, it impairs from my phone! I have done this at least 7 times in the past day. Please help!!!

The problem has gone away and the watch is now updated. I tried another download as per the usual means and it worked.
