My iPhone is frozen on the power off screen

Hello ~ Take a look here at an excellent prior post by *Axel Foley* who puts it into focus better than I ever could and follow these instructions…they work as I have had this happen as well…

*”Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

• Press and quickly release Volume UP button
• Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
• Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF). “*

When I hold down the side button it turns siri on - no matter how long I hold it down nothing happens. If I hold down the side button and volume up it activates the SOS. I cannot slide to power off. The screen is totally frozen.
