I have tried to install this update several times on my 2013 iMac and it still comes up needing to be installed. Anyone else having this problem, or have any insight?

It would restart and still say it had an update (same one). No alerts or messages. The restart in safe mode did the trick, thank you.
You say you have tried to install several times, but you do not say what actually happened. Any messages? What? Please be specific, so we can respond with some specific useful suggestions.
I spoke too soon. The problem still exists. It will restart and still say it has an update (same one). No alerts or messages. The restart in safe mode did NOT do the trick. I have tried starting with Command/opt/P/R and that didn’t help.

also, after I re-started in safe mode, all my pinned tabs in Safari disappears - are they hiding somewhere I can discover them or am I s.o.l. and just have to redo them?
