Please advise as to why I received a email stating g my Apple account has been locked due to an unknown attempt from a foreign device. I only have the Apple pro phone what other account or device is linked to my account which I did not personally purchase nor approve!!

It's probably a scam/phishing attempt.

FYI: Apple do not send such e-mail.

If the account is really locked, you will get the notice when you sign in but not by e-mail.
