Why are my texts from my iPad to a non-Apple phone not being delivered

Unless you also have an iPhone using the same Apple ID & password as your iPad,

iPad cannot send SMS to any other non Apple devices, iPad can only send iMessages which Android is not compatible.

To send SMS messages on iPad requires the iPad being paired/tethered to an iPhone using WiFi messagze forwarding with the iPad acting like a text device remote for the iPhone.

Without the use of an iPhone that DOES send SMS text messages, an iPad cannot send these types of messages on its own.

Only regular text messages to other iOS/iPadOS users.

If you have an email and a phone number for a non apple number then will it work?
