Migration Assistant Authorization Failed Error Message FIX

I couldn’t post this on a older topic so I had to make a new one. Wanted to migrate all my info from my old MacBook to a new one my wife received last year as a gift. I kept getting error messages and tried to use apple support but they were not too helpful. They tried to tell me I had to erase the HDD and start fresh and that basically I had to do this when I first setup the computer. Didn’t want my wife to

lose any info and didn’t have the time to setup a time machine for it. Here’s what I did to get the error messages to go away and JUST WORK.


Go to Apple- System Preferances- Users and Groups. Make a new Login profile.

Then log into the new profile and you will be prompted to use Migration Assistant. No error messages, and it just worked.


Apple tried to tell me it’s and issue with the M1 macs….
