Live Text Hiragana/Katakana

Hey,

it seems that I am unable to select any Japanese Kana with live text. When ever I try to select it, it only works for the Kanji and I think this is because it sees it at Chinese. Does anyone know if this feature hasn’t been implemented for Japanese yet or if there is an option I can select?

What the heck happened to the keyboard layout for Japanese kana? The keyboard layout used to be super easy to use. It was fairly phonetic and I had NO problem using it. I just went to use it today, and I notice that the keyboard layout is very different. Apple really F'ed up one more thing. Why can't you all leave well enough alone? The way the Kana layout is now, I can't use it. :(

How to bring furigana over the Kanji for the Japanese words In Windows word, we can easily bring that hiragana over the Kanji or Ruby text using the phonetic guide. How to do it in iPad? I read an article in Apple discussions page to select the word and select the arrow to show the phonetic guide, but it doesn’t show up at least in the apple PAGES app. Can anyone help me out here using some images or video?

how can I use Japanese words in FCPX titles? It's a 2 part question really. I'd like to use Japanese text in titles (alongside English) in a film about Tokyo. Q1. How do I create the Japanese text, ideally with a choice of fonts? Q2. The Japanese words - i.e. set of characters - will come from Google translate. Is there a cut and paste approach to this, or do I have to find all the individual characters?

Live Text is currently supported in English, Chinese, French, Italian, German, Portuguese, and Spanish. You need an iPhone XS, iPhone XR, or later with iOS 15 to use Live Text.
