how do I backup my Ipad 3 to my Chromebook 14 ???

My Ipad 3 has 31MB of 32MP storage used. Can I connect to my Chromebook 14 and use it's storage to Update my Ipad??

No, you need a Windows PC or a Mac to update an iPad.

Do you truly have an iPad 3, with the older/wider 30-pin dock connector? If so, the latest version of iOS is 9.3.5 and you may not need to update anyway.

I will use my Toshiba if needed, with Windows.

My Ipad has the14.8 update, and my software is up to date.

I don't need iPadOS 15.
