Guided Access - IOS 15

I just got a new Apple Ipad (9th generation) running IOS 15. I went in and enabled guided Access so I can set the tablet up for LAMP for my son. But once I enable guided access it will not let me out. The prompt comes up for the passcode, but it won't let me enter anything. Touching on any number does nothing. I can only get out of the system doing a hard reboot. I bought this tablet for these features. Anyone know why the Guided Access won't let you use our passcode or touch id to confirm that you want to leave the session?

There appears to be a bug with iPadOS15 Guided Access. Yours is not the first report to have been seen in these communities.

At present, the Guided Access Passcode cannot be successfully entered - the only release appears to be a forced-restart of the device.

Same thing is happening to me. It is happening on the IOS 15 AND the IOS 15.0.1 version.
