Strange zoom/stretch on grey space below keyboard

Hi. My friend has a very strange problem with the keyboard on her iPhone XR with IOS 15.0.1 (19A348)

Or to be more specific the grey space under the keyboard that holds the microphone icon to the right and the emoji or little globe icon to the left.

It is like this grey bar has been stretched too wide and the icons can’t be pressed. But the keyboard appears as normal.

We have adjusted pretty much all the settings under accessibility and keyboard. And after hours of searching can’t find anything on support sites that is even close to a solution.

I would love any ideas . . .

Thanks so much for your reply - I have my fingers firmly crossed we can get to the bottom of it. Hopefully this is the information you need.

This happens every time the keyboard is used - across all apps.

It’s the default iPhone keyboard (not third party) but she also has some third party (I think) keyboards turned on. Ive included a screenshot to help answer this.

The issues continues after a restart.

We also tried to reset ( up volume, down volume & hold the right side button till Apple logo appears) this also had no impact on solving the issue.
