App Library

Is there a way to move an entire CATEGORY from the library back to the home screen? My Health and Fitness Apps just vanished on my last upgrade and I don't use them because of the extra steps to finally locate them.

Hi Aderosun,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities.

We understand that you would like to move apps from the App Library to your iPhone Home Screen and we're happy to help. We also see that you’ve already checked out the Apple Support article Organize the Home Screen and App Library on your iPhone

If you want to move apps to the Home Screen, follow these steps: How to move apps and create folders on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Please note that you can only Move apps and widgets on the Home Screen on iPhone. "The apps in App Library are organized in categories intelligently, based on how you use your apps. You can add apps in App Library to the Home Screen, but you can’t move them to another category in App Library."

If you want to see the apps in their original layout, then you can Reset the Home Screen.

To "Reset the Home Screen and apps to their original layout," follow the steps below:

  1. "Go to Settings  > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone.
  2. Tap Reset, tap Reset Home Screen Layout, then tap Reset Home Screen.

Any folders you’ve created are removed, and apps you’ve downloaded are arranged alphabetically after apps that came with your iPhone."
