My iPhone SE (first) is not updating to IOS 15. When I check for updates it says my 14.8 is up to date. How do I update to IOA 15?

Perhaps I could get some help on the install. I only have 16GB memory and about a quarter of that is used by 'other'. I have to delete most of my apps in order to have enough memory to install IOS15. Any tips on cleaning up "other"?
I have been able to delete enough photos and apps to free up 2.6GB memory but the update is not downloading. Is there another step. I did plug the phone into a power source but no luck. Any suggestions?

Why do you not set up iCloud? You automatically get 5GB of free storage.
Your iPhone must have at least 6GB or more free storage space for iOS 15 update.
I didn't have many photos on my phone but by offloading all the app that allowed tha,t I got enough space, Thanks again for the help.
