Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
The camera is not working on my Mac Book Pro. I've already checked the privacy setting and made sure I have all the latest updates. What else can I try? The green light will come on for a few seconds but then turns off.

Verify your camera is being recognize by the system—
>(Option Key)>System Information>Hardware>Camera>
You Can run the user Diagnostic...not as definitive as Apple's own AST2 (Apple Service Toolkit) back bench diagnostic, but may kick out an error code.

I will add Try resetting NVRAM/PRAM http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379
(get at least two-three rounds of the chimes when holding the NRAM Reset)

Probably its about the end of its lifespam, should try checking it on a repair shop
